Helpful guides, styling inspiration, and simple tips to help you feel
confident and prepared for your photo session.
What you wear can completely change the feel of your photographs. The goal isn’t to look like someone else — it’s to choose pieces that feel like you, photograph beautifully, and work with the location and mood of your session.
Neutral and muted tones usually photograph beautifully: cream, beige, white, brown, black, soft pink, denim, grey, and earthy shades. Try to avoid neon colors, very bright prints, large logos, and patterns that can distract from you.
Your outfit should work with where we’re shooting. For a soft studio session, simple and elegant pieces photograph beautifully. For an outdoor session, think about the season, scenery, and colors around you.
Knitwear, linen, denim, silk, flowing fabrics, jackets, and simple accessories can add depth without making the outfit feel too busy.
For couples and families, you don’t need to wear identical colors. Instead, choose shades that complement each other and feel like they belong together.
If you’re unsure, bring 2–3 outfit options. I’m always happy to help you choose what will photograph best before or during your session.
Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you’re not sure what to choose, send me your outfit ideas before your session and I’ll help you put everything together.
